Art Center Car Classic 2015 Rocket Man
Pasadena CA, Oct 25 2015 - Art Center College of Design - Car Classic
Henrik Fisker is one of the more notable names on the extensive list of Art Center Alumni. Long associated with advances in products based on bold design, his talent lights paths to follow personal interests and opens doors to other great opportunities. Henrik has always loved American muscle cars - he probably has doodled a few in his spare time.
In discussion with Beau Boeckmann of Galpin Auto Sports, which specializes in customizing and remodeling vehicles specifically for their owners, Henrik showed his dream design on paper then realized he could realize his own exercise of American muscle.
Building on the latest Mustang possible, each body panel was replaced by a lighter, stronger carbon fibre.
Design cues include a functional spoiler, air inlets and custom badging. Outfitted with fine leather and a whopping 725 horsepower V8, this isn't your ordinary Mustang any more. Given the special nature of the goods and the $125,000 price tag, there won't ever be many of these Rockets - but they are guaranteed collector items from delivery. Manufacturing capacity can be increased to 4 cars per month, so you do have the chance to blast off soon if you really need to.
Henrik has hinted that he's working on something new that we'd probably like to see, and maybe this secret project will make it to the field of cars at 2016 Car Classic. Here is hoping we find out more sooner than that, but we can't wait for next year.
